Your trip in short
You start your journey with a scenic drive from Bagdogra or NJP to Gangtok, tracing the Teesta River and passing through the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. You will stop for a quick tea break at the Rangpo border before checking into your Gangtok hotel. Your next few days are packed with classic mountain sights. In Gangtok, you will head up to the high-altitude Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir, and spend a full day exploring local spots like Banjhakri Waterfall and Tashi View Point. Then, you drive to Darjeeling via the Peshok road, passing Lamahatta and the Lopchu tea gardens. An early morning trip to Tiger Hill brings you a spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga, followed by visits to Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. You will stay in 3-star hotels with both breakfast and dinner taken care of. A private hatchback is booked for all your scheduled transfers and sightseeing, with state permits and toll fees fully covered.
